Lyla is an American Lab serving with the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office as a narcotics detection K9. Certified through D-Tac K9 to detect Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Heroin and Fentanyl, she supports narcotics investigations with focus and reliability. What makes Lyla special is her drive — a strong, consistent motivation that guides her work every day. Off-duty she is gentle and low-key, loving to hang out with my kids and to relax around the house. Lyla’s combination of training, certification, and natural drive makes her a valued member of the team and an important asset to the community.
