Gizmo is a Dutch Shepherd with the Weber County Sheriffs Office, serving as a dual-purpose narcotics detection and apprehension K9. Gizmo (yes, named after the movie) is full of energy and loves to work; he is my best friend, devoted to keeping me and my fellow deputies safe and would not hesitate to save my life. He holds certifications in narcotics detection and patrol (apprehension). Off duty, Gizmo enjoys laying in the grass under my trees, playing with his tugs, and running 24/7 — the same drive that makes him a trusted partner on shift.
