Chiro is a Belgian Malinois serving with the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office, working in narcotics detection, tracking, and apprehension. He is very smart and highly motivated, using his brain on the job and quickly picking up new skills. Driven and focused during apprehension, Chiro is also social and able to distinguish between work and play, which makes him a well-rounded K9 partner for his handler and the department. Off duty he enjoys playing with Kong balls, going on walks and runs, and spending time with his handler, blending athletic drive with a friendly, engaged temperament.
