K9 Taylor is a School Safety Dog. K9 Taylor works in seven public schools directly with her SRO handler to protect the students and staff from gun violence. K9 Taylor is specially trained to detect guns and ammunition on persons in crowded or congested areas. K9 Taylor is extremely friendly and is loved by the students and staff alike. When K9 Taylor is not actively searching she can be approached by the students and offer some cuddles and kisses to make their day a little brighter. Off-duty activities include relaxing on the couch, long walks with dad and playing catch with her favorite ball or frisbee.K9 Taylor is a member of the USPCA (United States Police Canine Association) and recently participated in the 2026 USPCA K9 Region 1 K9 Trials, held in Orange Beach, AL. The trials are a competition where K9's compete from Florida, Georgia and Alabama. K9 Taylor won First Place in Firearms Detection. This was the fourth year in a row that she has placed first in her category.

K9 Taylor is often called on by other agencies in Broward County to assist with criminal investigations where gun detection is needed. K9 Taylor has successfully found weapons used in murder cases and drive by shootings.
