Neo is a Belgian Malinois serving as a Dual Purpose patrol dog with the McClain County Sheriff's Office. He performs tracking, apprehension, article search, and narcotics odor search. Neo has a personality like few dogs: loving, calm, and quiet until it’s time to work, While only 45 Pounds, Neo makes a presence like his predecessor K9 Spike at 90 pounds. He is replacing K9 Spike, Spike was previously awarded a vest through Brady's K9 Fund, who medically retired due to a heart condition; Neo has big shoes to fill but is already stepping into them comfortably. Off duty, he enjoys walking through downtown to take in the smells and sounds and spending family time with the kids. Neo’s steady temperament and readiness make him a valued member of the team.
