K9 Ryker is a Dutch Shepard serving with the Castle Rock Police Department as a dual-purposed K9, trained in narcotics detection and patrol/apprehension. He brings an exceptionally high work drive to every assignment, and— for a male Dutch Shepard—is on the smaller side, which enables him to search and fit into tight spaces that traditional-sized K9s cannot. Ryker is a focused, hardworking partner on duty and enjoys hiking with his handler when off duty, where he gets the exercise and bonding time that keep him ready for the demands of his important public safety role.
