Ikon is a 2.5-year-old German Shepherd with the Paso Robles Police Department. He is a dual-purpose K9 for narcotics detection and apprehension and is very toy-driven—his favorites are a ball on a rope and a tug toy. Off duty he runs with his handler while they train for the Baker to Vegas relay and spends downtime running in the yard and rolling in the grass. Ikon and his handler are a new team with two months on patrol; to date they have located approximately 15 grams of narcotics and have three surrenders.
