I was paired with Gandalf as my first k9 and I his first handler. He is a very high drive dog with incredible intelligence. He is intense. In hindsight he may be considered a dog for an experienced handler but we learned how to be partners together. He is very successful in narcotic detection and has been apart of dozens of felony arrest on my agencies Crime Suppression Unit.
