Diego is a German Shepherd with the Clayton Police Department serving as a patrol dog. IPWDA-certified, he conducts tracking, article search, building search, suspect apprehension, and narcotics detection. Diego was my first K-9; we trained and became a K-9 team together, which forged a strong working bond. He greets everyone with a bark and a friendly lick, and off duty he enjoys playing with my daughter. Diego’s combination of training, certification, and dependable temperament makes him a valued member of the department and a trusted partner to his handler.
