Ax enjoys to go on long hikes through the central Washington mountains. He enjoys exploring, playing with his kong and sniffing all the feet of the patients in the hospital. As of yet no awards for Ax, but we routinely find contraband through out the hospital in which we work. Meth, Coke, Heroin, and fentanyl are the most frequent drugs that are found and generally he gets involved with 20-30 incidents a shift (8hr's). The achievement is the sense the staff and patients feel when Ax is present and already we have seen a significant decrease in the amount of contraband brought into the hospital and a major decrease in attempted assaults when K9 is on shift.
