
K9 Zeke is a German Shepard/Malinois assigned to the Hart County Sheriff's Office. He is a dual-purpose canine trained in narcotics detection, tracking, criminal apprehension, and area and building searches, and will be conducting high-risk tracking, interstate criminal interdiction targeting criminal activity traveling along Interstate 85, while also focusing on inner-city crime suppression efforts focused on narcotics and wanted subjects. Zeke is an exceptional tracker who quickly locates hidden subjects and items using his nose; he is intense in work yet well balanced and sociable. Currently in week three of K9 school, Zeke was previously certified in the same work areas at the same training school under a different handler. Zeke will be obtaining his full certifications at the beginning of October and November 2026.Off duty, he enjoys neighborhood walks, tracking practice, and sunning on the back deck near the pool.
