Vulpe is a Belgian Malinois and a working police K9 with the City of Wortham, Texas, serving as the department’s first dual-purpose dog. Her duties are tracking, apprehension, and narcotics detection, reflecting her role as a dual-purpose K9. Vulpe is also the only dual-purpose dog in several surrounding counties. Off duty, she enjoys Kongs and balls on a rope, and she enjoys training religiously. As the agency’s inaugural dual-purpose K9, Vulpe stands out as a unique member of the department and the broader regional K9 community.
