
K-9 Solo, a 10-month-old Belgian Malinois, was officially appointed to the department on Wednesday, Aug. 20. Solo will be partnered with handler Officer Conner Robertson and will be working as a tracking dog during search and rescue and narcotics operations.
Officer Robertson is a U.S. Air Force Veteran and has a master’s degree in criminology and criminal justice. His commitment to growth is unwavering as he steps into this next role as a K-9 handler.
K-9 Solo comes from Runchkin Hill Training and Breeding Facility, located in West Newbury. Nahant Police worked closely with staff and owner Robin Desmond during the process of adopting Solo.
