Schultz is a German Shepherd assigned to the Houston ISD Police Department, serving in explosive-detection work across the district. On duty he’s a partner and friend to his handlers, a bouncer when needed, and a hell of a deterrent. Off duty Schultz relaxes—playing fetch, lounging around, and getting plenty of rubs from family and friends. That combination of steady explosive-detection work and a warm, companionable off-duty life makes Schultz a reassuring and familiar presence for his department and those who know him.
