Max is a Belgian Malinois who serves with the Joliet Police Department as a narcotics and apprehension K9. He is the largest K9 on our department and is always so excited to work, bringing boundless energy to every shift. When he’s off duty, Max loves playing fetch and going for long walks with his sister. Max’s combination of size and enthusiasm makes him stand out in both appearance and personality, and he is a familiar, warm presence among his handlers and the community.
