K9 Maverick is a 3-year-old Dutch Shepherd with the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office in Punta Gorda, Florida. Off duty, he loves food and toys—especially his tug—and wants nothing more than to hang out with his dad; when not working he enjoys walks and relaxing at home. Maverick has earned several USPCA "Case of the Quarter" awards for cases he contributed to resolving.
