K9 Jefe is a 2-year-old German Shepherd and Belgian Mal serving with the Nassau County Police Department in Mineola, NY. He and his handler recently graduated; on days off he enjoys hanging out and playing fetch and goes crazy for a black kong ball or a black kong on a rope. His specialty will be bomb detection, and he has patrol certification.
