Dakar is a Belgian Malinois with the Escondido Police Department, certified in Patrol and Narcotics. He performs patrol work including apprehension work and narcotic searches. Dakar is very friendly until it comes to his work; when on duty he puts his all into confronting the unknown that may come his way. Off-duty he enjoys walks, laying out in the backyard, and trying to get his share of whatever food is being cooked, showing the devoted, approachable companion behind the uniform.
