Hello, my name is Kelsey Flores, and I am a K9 handler with the Marfa Police Department. I am partnered with my K9, Brutus, who is trained in narcotics detection. Brutus is currently the only K9 serving our county, making his role especially valuable to our agency and the surrounding community.

Brutus has an exceptionally high drive, which allows us to conduct searches efficiently and with a high level of accuracy. His motivation and work ethic make him a reliable asset in the field, and he continues to exceed expectations—especially for a small department like ours. Together, we are committed to supporting law enforcement operations and enhancing public safety throughout the county.

Outside of his duties, Brutus enjoys staying active. During his off time, he loves running and playing fetch, which helps maintain his physical condition and keeps his drive sharp for work.
