K9 Brandi is a 1.5-year-old German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois who came to the Mounds View Police Department in Mounds View, Minnesota, from Canada. She enjoys playing fetch, patrols the backyard for squirrels and rabbits, and is intrigued by water—she swims in her pool and bites at the sprinkler when it’s running. Brandi loves to eat and will eat anything she can get her paws on; she is not highly toy-motivated but prefers a tug toy. She and her handler have been on the road together for approximately two months and have had a couple of successful deployments.
