Nova is a Malinois with the UCLA Police Department who works as an apprehension and explosive detection K9. Known for her deep love of her handler, department, and community, Nova balances intense focus on finding bad guys with a playful side—she especially loves chasing her Kong toy. When she's off duty she enjoys playing with her Kong, people-watching, and lounging in her kennel. Nova's combination of dedication to duty and affection for the people she serves makes her a distinctive and valued member of the UCLA PD team.
