Cairo is a 7-year-old Dutch Shepherd serving with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, with five years of frontline experience in SWAT, patrol, narcotics, and tracking. Early in his career he was too energetic for SWAT applications, but with maturity he has become the department’s primary K9 for high-risk deployments and continues to perform without slowing down. He holds NAPWDA and NNDDA certifications that reflect his training and capability. Off duty, Cairo is often found laying at the edge of his kennel on a hill, calmly watching down the driveway and across the property — a steady presence both on and off the job.
