K9 Beny is a 2-year-old German Shepherd and my partner on patrol. He is a highly driven and confident dog who loves to work and is always eager for the next task. Beny has a strong hunt and toy drive, and when he knows it’s time to work he becomes extremely focused and determined. He thrives during training and deployments and truly enjoys doing the job he was trained for. Off duty, Beny is still a very active dog. He enjoys spending time outside, playing, and continuing to train. Even when we’re not working, he is happiest when he has something to do, whether that’s playing fetch, running around, or doing short training sessions that keep him mentally engaged. His favorite toys are his ball, tug, and herding ball, which help keep him both physically active and mentally stimulated. I primarily use the ball and tug as rewards during training because of his strong toy drive, which keeps him motivated and eager to work. Beny is not only my working partner but also a constant companion. He takes his job seriously, but off duty he enjoys playing, relaxing, and spending time with me. His drive, intelligence, and loyalty make him an incredible police K9 and partner. Started in July of 2025
