The 12 Dogs of Christmas

The 12 Dogs of Christmas is a fundraiser that is near and dear to Brady’s K9 Fund. We hold this annual fundraiser at this magical time of year so we may stop for a moment and appreciate those around us. Brady’s K9 Fund has a very long list of K9s waiting for body armor, so we’re raising funds for 12 special dogs—giving them each the gift of a ballistic vest for Christmas. Our 12 friends work tirelessly protecting their communities, and we feel they deserve a top-notch ballistic vest while doing so. K9 Noa, Ohio

Noa is a spunky 1-year-old Belgian Malinois from the North Lawrence Police Department in Ohio. We are told Noa is an absolute rockstar; very driven and a dedicated dog. Her handler absolutely loves her and feels she has the most incredible personality and knows when it’s time to get to work. Off duty her favorite thing to do is run and chase her tennis balls, especially the XL ones!

K9 Dino, Oklahoma

Dino is a 2-year-old German Shepherd from the McLoud Police Department in Oklahoma who is very busy covering 793 square miles. Recently Dino removed 500 Fentanyl laced oxycodone pills in one traffic stop. No telling how many people may have died from them. Dino likes to play with a black Kong when he's off duty and if his handler happens to have flip flops on, they certainly will be taken by him. One goofy thing that Dino does after leaving his squad car is that he spins and tries to catch his tail for quite a while.

K9 Kato, Arkansas

Kato is a 1.5-year-old single-purpose German Shorthair Pointer. Kato hails from the Van Buren Police Department in Arkansas. Kato is a very driven K9 and loves work just as much as playing with the family. Kato is a very goofy dog and is very animated with his moods. Kato has no one specific toy he prefers over the others but anything I will throw for him or that he can chase is right up his alley. In his down time he prefers to watch and chase the birds and point at anything he wants me to come look at or get for him. When he's off duty he is just another member of the family and loves to watch Bluey with my kids.

K9 Zoe, Texas

K9 Zoe is a beautiful Belgian Malinois who hails from the Granite Shoals Police Department in Texas. She is one year old and trained in narcotics detection and tracking. When not on duty, you can find Zoe playing with her favorite toys of grenade ropes toys, Kongs, and chuckit ultra balls. Playing fetch with her handler in the yard and running her agility course are the best! She also likes to go out on her family boat on nearby lake LBJ. She was born in Poland in February of 2022 and came to the USA March of 2023. She started in small-town Granite Shoals in August of 2023 and made her first bust within a week (25 grams of meth). She trains with the Austin, Texas, PD K9 team on a weekly basis. Her handler worked for Austin PD before retiring and going back to work in Granite Shoals, about an hour from Austin. Her handler was survived being shot in the line of duty in February 2023 thanks to a ballistic vest. Zoe certainly deserves a vest like her handler's to keep her safe as well.

Bear is a high drive 2-year-old German Shepherd from the Livingston Police Department in Texas. He loves his Kongs and tugs and one of his favorite games is to play fetch with two tugs at the same time. Bear has been on the streets for just over one month and has already been credited with two drug arrests!

K9 Charlie hails from the Gloversville Police Department in New York. Charlie is a beautiful 1-year-old German Shepherd. He is new to the streets and proving to be a great addition to his department. On his days off he enjoys playing or laying down in the yard. His absolute favorite toy is a ball on a rope. Charlie was named after Officer Charles Dunham from his department who was killed in the line of duty.

K9 Bronx, Pennsylvania

One-year-old Bronx is a very loving, yet serious Belgian Malinois / German Shepherd mix when it comes to work. Bronx patrols the streets of Upper Darby Township Police Department in Pennsylvania. Off duty he loves to play with his sister, Athena, take walks, and swim. His favorite toy is either his rubber tire or tug but really anything you can give him to play with, he will graciously accept!

K9 Ghost, Minnesota

Ghost is one tough, successful boy on the team of the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office in Minnesota. Ghost is a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois who recently had been used to apprehend a suspect in a homicide where officers could safely take him into custody. Last year Ghost and his handler received 2nd place in the regional trials through the USPCA for suspect search with a perfect score. While off duty Ghost loves to hangout with his family. His two favorite things are to be pet and playing with a tennis ball. His high drive energy carries over to home life as he is always on the search looking for someone to hang out with all while keeping an eye out for outside threats.

K9 Hulk hails from the Gainesville Police Department in Florida. Hulk enjoys tug style rewards as well as Kong toys. He’s known to lie on his handler’s feet and chew on his Kong. Another favorite is to play with his human siblings.

K9 Justice protects the Delaware Department of Correction in Delaware. At the age of 2, Justice just became a new officer to the department. His drive to please his handler overrides his prey and fight drive. Justice loves the play fetch and bite his tugs. On his days off he enjoys rolling around in fresh cut grass and running with his exercise parachute.

Fury is known for being a very social dog. She loves to be petted and loved on non-stop. Fury loves her Kong and wherever she goes she demands to be the center of attention.

Duke is a German Shepherd that is a ball of energy at the age of 2. When he is not protecting the streets of his Owasso Police Department in Oklahoma you can find him running all around the backyard and playing fetch with his Kong. He adores his family so much. Duke is new to the streets with only 3 months on, however he is super motivated and loves to go to work every day, so it won’t be long before we start racking up the achievements.
