K9 Qilo is a 9-year-old German Shepherd serving with the Manteca Police Department in Manteca, CA. He has been a police canine for five years, beginning his career as a detection K9 and later adding an apprehension certification. Off duty he enjoys playing with his ball and going for drives; he has also participated in several local K9 trials and earned awards for narcotics and firearms detection.
