K9 Khan is a 1½-year-old Belgian Malinois with the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office. He will be serving as a dual-purpose patrol K9, trained and certified in apprehension and narcotics, and will respond to calls ranging from basic patrol operations to SWAT callout deployments and criminal interdiction stops. At home, K9 Khan balances his strength with a gentle nature—he loves his family and can often be found laying in the sun, finding sticks, and playing with his favorite ball.
