Ares is a 2-year-old, 75-pound Malinois/Dutch Shepherd serving as a dual-purpose narcotics and apprehension K9 with the Canon City Police Department in Canon City, CO. Although his appearance can be imposing, he is described as a sweet dog who enjoys playing tug with his handler, Officer Modlin, and loves going on runs—he is much faster than his handler. Ares and Officer Modlin have only just begun their partnership and have not had any major achievements yet.
